"MaryAnn's Gourd"

Recently was visiting the Berkey's in Maggie Valley, NC and
saw
this carved gourd on her table. I was so fascinated, I took a picture.
I then found that the artist who created it lived just down the mountain and got
to
spend some time with him to learn how to carve and paint them.
Steffi said I could not go home and start carving, so I did the next best
thing - I painted it!!
